You might have seen on social media recently that we took ourselves off to London for the weekend for a little business break away. Why did we do this, instead of just having another Zoom call with each other? We did this so that we could have dedicated time to plan, organise and create for our business, The Two Lauras. We got inspired, worked out what we want to do and achieve in the rest of 2025, planned out our Atomicon talk (yes, really!!) and generally just made time for our business, whilst being together and not on the other end of a laptop!
Now, don’t get us wrong – you don’t have to head off to London and book a fancy hotel for your business retreat (though you absolutely can!) – your local café and a few dedicated hours could do in a pinch. The only requirement really is that your phone is on “do not disturb” mode, you’re not doing any client work or communicating with them, and this time is carved out solely for you and your business.
But how can you make the most of this time? What should you be aiming to get done? And where’s the best place to get chocolate-covered strawberries in London? We know these are your burning questions, so we’re going to dive into all of them in today’s episode, so you can plan out your very own productive business retreat.
In this episode, we’re chatting about:
- Behind the scenes of our recent London business break (including how much Laura M spent on a Diet Coke)
- Why you need to book your own little business retreat into your calendar…
- …and why it doesn’t need to cost a lot or take a lot of time
- Our advice for planning your own retreat so you can make the most of your time
