Content dumps – the name speaks for itself, in more ways than one. Firstly, it describes what people are doing – dumping their content in one go instead of spreading it out over time – and secondly, they’re just a bit shit. So, if you’ve been tempted to jump off the Instagram hamster wheel, or better yet, your clients have been asking you to do dumps for them (oh God) – today’s episode is going to be the perfect listen for you.

We are NOT fans of content dumping. Why? Well, mostly because it just doesn’t line up with the way Instagram works. You’re not going to build your community, you’re not going to guarantee all your followers are seeing your content and you might even annoy those people who your content is pushed out to. We know that you’re supposed to repeat yourself as no one will ever see all your content, but good grief, not thirty posts in a day, thank you!

If you’re finding you’re swaying towards content dumps, or your clients are asking you to do them on their accounts, this episode is going to cover all the other things you could try instead of a content dump. Ultimately, if you’re feeling bored enough with your content to try something drastic like a dump – your audience is bored too!

In this episode, we’re chatting about:

  • The main problems we can foresee with content dumps
  • Why people are even wanting to do a content dump
  • What to do if your client is wanting to switch to a dump-method
  • Options you can try instead of content dumps

Jump straight to it…

[00:47] What is a content dump and why is the name quite apt?
