When you’re having a scroll on social media, chances are it’s because you want to feel something. Whether that’s happiness, excitement or feeling supported, there’s a really wide range of emotions that content can trigger – just the same as you would feel when watching a TV programme. How then, can we use these triggers to make our audiences feel something and therefore boost engagement?
We’ll let you in on a little secret… all businesses can use emotional triggers. We’re not saying every brand can be as funny as Innocent (if you’re a funeral director it’s probably not hugely appropriate!) but every brand can definitely incorporate emotional triggers so that their audiences actually want to interact with them.
In today’s episode we’re exploring lots of different emotions your audience could feel and how you can start to use this in your content so they feel anything except that one dreaded emotion – bored!
In this episode, we’re chatting about:
- What an emotional trigger is
- Which sorts of businesses can use emotional triggers
- How you can learn which types of emotions to target for your audience
- Whether following trends is a good idea or not
